Appointments can be made by telephone or online.  On line appointments require prior registration , as a password is needed. See our on-line appointments information page (see the services menu) for an application form and more information.

Routine appointments have now been changed to telephone consultations. This is to minimise the number of patients entering the building. The patient will be rung at the same time they were expected to have their face to face consultation.

Video consultations are also available upon request for any patients where a visual diagnosis may be necessary.

Please indicate if your appointment is urgent. Genuine clinical urgencies will be seen on the same day, however although we will do our best you will not be able to specify the sex of the doctor you will see in an emergency. Booked appointments are for 10 minutes. If you have mutiple problems you may be asked to make an extra appointment, this is to be fair to your problems and other patients who may be waiting and the doctor.

Please note that some complex appointments, especially for coils and contraceptive implants, require longer than usual appointment slots for two clinical staff, usually a doctor and a nurse.  Please respect our service by giving at least 2 days notice of cancellation.

Appointments can be made with the practice nurse, healthcare assistant or any of the doctors.

We have a Loop available for those with hearing difficulties.

Interpreter services are available for most languages, but do require a longer appointment and we require 48 hours notice if an interpreter is required. Please tell the receptionist if an interpreter is needed.  Interpreted appointments cannot be booked on line.  In urgent cases where no translator is available we may use a telephone translation service called 'BigWord'.

Travel Clinic

We are able to offer Travel Vaccines here at the surgery for our patients.

Before you attend an appointment we request that you complete a pre-travel questionnaire to assist our Practice Nurse to have a full knowledge of information regarding your country of travel to provide you with. This can be found under the travel clinic section.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep your appointment. Sadly many appointments are wasted every week because of this problem.

There are morning, afternoon and evening surgeries every weekday available by appointment. You can specify the doctor of your choice.

Appointment Times:
8.45 - 11.25am

1.35 - 4.05pm

3.35 - 5.55pm

There is also an Telephone Triage available every weekday morning available for patients who require urgent medical treatment. Demand is unpredictable and therefore we would ask you to be patient if you find you have to wait. You cannot specify which doctor you will necessarily see in this service.  You need to ring between 8.30am and 10.00am before attending, you will be rung back by a senior GP to be given advice or invited to the emergency surgery.

Telephone Triage:
8.30am - 10.00am

If you need to see a doctor please ring the usual surgery number and you will be given instructions on how to contact NHS111 emergency out-of-hours service who cover the practice from 6.30pm - 8.30am.
Advice is available 24 hours a day from NHS 111
